When staying in the most basic cabins, such as windowless inside cabins, youll earn 2 points for each day you sail. When staying in a top suite, you can earn as many as 18 to 24 points per day.
Staying in balcony cabins, which the line calls Veranda cabins, will get you 3 points a day.
Theres also one more way to earn Captains Club points. In 2020, Celebrity launched a new program called Power Up Points that let Captains Club members get bonus points by filling out online surveys, participating on social media or booking specific promotions.
Taking part in such activities will get you Power Up Points, which then can be converted into Captains Club points at a ratio of 10 to 1. That is, for every 10 Power Up Points you get, youll get 1 additional Captains Club point.
As is typical with cruise line loyalty programs, lower tiers dont bring all that much in terms of truly valuable benefits. Youll get things like access to a loyalty desk or an invite to a private party . But higher levels of the program start to be enticing.
Elite Plus kicks things up by offering additional discounts for onboard services and free cappuccinos, lattes, espresso and tea throughout your sailing.

Celebrity Cruises made history over the weekend with its re-launch of the Celebrity Edge, the first cruise ship to leave a United States homeport with ticketed passengers since March of 2020 when COVID-19 threw the American cruise industry into a tailspin.
Setting sail to the Caribbean from Port Everglades in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on June 26, the milestone event was complete with a pre-cruise press conference and reception.
“To survive for 15 months with zero revenue is not something they teach you in business school,” Richard Fain, Chairman and CEO of the Royal Caribbean Group – which includes Celebrity Cruises – said.
“But we’re a strong company,” he noted, adding he’s happy to have the “flywheel cranked up again in this industry.”
Under the CDC’s Framework for Conditional Sailing Order , cruise ships can sail if 95% of the crew and paying passengers are fully vaccinated. Before boarding the Celebrity Edge, passengers were required to fill out a health questionnaire form and provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
However, cruising in Florida has become a political debate as the state’s Gov. Ron DeSantis has fought against the notion of “vaccine passports” and chafed under the CDC’s COVID-19 restrictions. Most recently, a federal judge in Florida ruled that the CDC’s conditional sailing orders for Florida-based ships would become “non-binding” guidelines on July 18.

Since January 2020, the company’s daily gratuity rates were increased by ~7% .
- Standard cabins’ daily gratuity was changed from US$14,50 to US$15.50 pp .
- ConciergeClass and AquaClass staterooms’ daily gratuity was changed from US$15 to US$16 pp .
- Suites’ daily gratuity was changed from US$18 to US$19 pp .
Daily gratuity is an automatic service charge added to the passenger’s onboard account each day. Passengers can prepay gratuities. Daily gratuities are split between the ship’s staff .
In 2018, Celebrity’s daily gratuities were USD 13,50 , USD 14 and USD 17 .

Who Sails Celebrity Cruises
Celebrity appeals to a somewhat older demographic than some of its best-known rivals in the world of relatively big ships . This is, in part, because its onboard offerings are not aimed at families nearly as much as the onboard offerings of the latter brands.

Celebrity Revolution Fleetwide Refurbishments
In July 2018, the company announced a USD 500 million fleet modernization program dubbed “Celebrity Revolution”. The project was scheduled for February 2019 through February 2023.
Fleetwide renovations include all staterooms and public spaces on 9 liners to bring their onboard amenities and services up to the standards of EDGE-class ships. For staterooms were contracted HBA and Kelly Hoppen .
All staterooms will be upgraded with eXhale bedding sets and high-tech amenities .
Renovated Celebrity ships will have “The Retreat” with a full-size swimming pool, Jacuzzi, private cabanas, padded loungers, poolside bar service .
Luminae Restaurant will be redesigned and will be introduced new menus by chef Cornelius Gallagher.
Qsine Restaurant will be added fleetwide and will offer “Le Petit Chef” created by Skullmapping artists and presented by TableMation Studios exclusively for Celebrity Cruises.
Main Dining Rooms, Oceanview Cafe and Sunset Bar will be redesigned, as well as most public venues. In the SPA will be added expanded SEA Thermal Suite. Retail shops will be expanded with new shopping brands – including Hublot and Shinola .

Celebrity Cruises Announces New Mexican Rivera And Caribbean Itineraries
Today Celebrity Cruises has announced new sailing itineraries for two of its ships, Celebrity Solstice and Celebrity Millennium.
Celebrity Solstice will be embarking on five, seven, and eight-night sailings to the Mexican Riviera, leaving from its homeport of Los Angeles, California.
The itineraries will include destination visits such as Puerto Vallarta, Ensenada, and Mazatlán. Some of the sailings will also feature overnight stays in Cabo San Lucas, in order for guests to experience the lively nightlife.

How Much Does A Celebrity Cruise Cost
Celebrity ships are very reasonably priced. Theyre not the least expensive vessels out there, but theyre not pricey by any means. Its possible to find a week-long Celebrity voyage to the Caribbean or even Europe starting under $1,000 per person, not including taxes and fees at least in the offseason.
