Royal Caribbean To Send Brilliance Of The Seas To Australia
Royal Caribbeans presence will increase in Australia after the announced redeployment of Brilliance of the Seas. The ship will sail on itineraries that were previously scheduled for the Enchantment of the Seas.
Royal Caribbean said that changes to maritime regulations were the reason for swapping the two ships.
Brilliance of the Seas was originally scheduled for itineraries in Europe and Florida in 2023 and 2024, but will now sail on itineraries in Alaska starting in April, including a number of cruises that depart from Vancouver, Canada before coming to Australia in October.
Amongst the itineraries, it will sail are 11-night roundtrip cruises to the Great Barrier Reef from Sydney, with port calls in Airlie Beach, Cairns , Port Douglas, Willis Island and Eden with prices starting from $1,455 for the December 8, 2023 departure.
It will also sail on a 12-right roundtrip itinerary from Sydney, with scenic cruising in Milford Sound, Doubtful Sound and Dusky Sound before port calls in Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington, Napier, Tauranga and Bay of Islands with prices starting from $1,720 for February 2, 2024 departure.
The ship is also making the journey from Sydney to Indonesia on a 16-night itinerary with port calls in Brisbane, Gladstone, Cairns , Darwin, Lombok Indonesia, Exmouth and Perth with prices starting from $2,765 for February 14, 2024 departure.
Brilliance of the Seas is a Radiance class ship first launched in December 2002 with a guest capacity of 2,543 passengers.

Youve heard of Kamehameha, right? He was the leader who united most of the Hawaiian Islands in 1795. He was born on the Big Island, more commonly referred to simply as Hawaii, and ruled as king from that islandthe southeastern-most and largest in the archipelago. The city has been the capital of the Hawaiian Islands since 1845 and gained historical recognition following the attack on Pearl Harbor by Japan near the city on December 7, 1941.

These legs are known as repositioning cruises, aka the journeys that ships take when they’ve finished their stints in one area and need to make their way to another for a new season. Of course, vessels don’t make those trips without passengers, so if you’re keen on spending a couple of weeks floating around the South Pacific surrounded by all things , Pixar and Star Wars, now you can.
Tickets go on sale at 8am AEDT on Thursday, October 13, with two voyages scheduled around the Mouse House’s maiden ‘Magic at Sea’ Australian and NZ cruises: a 13-night voyage from Honolulu to Sydney departing on October 13, 2023, then a 15-night trip the other way leaving on February 16, 2024.
Unsurprisingly, the ‘Magic at Sea’ legs between Australia and Aotearoa have proven as popular as Disney movies with, well, everyone, so expect these legs to attract plenty of interest.
