How Much Does A San Diego Disney Cruise Cost
The cost for sailing on the Disney Wonder out of the Port of San Diego will vary greatly on the time of year you go, the number of guests, the length of the cruise, and the type of room you need/want.
I recommend finding a trusted travel agent to give you a quote. Using a travel agent takes the guess work out of booking a Disney Cruise and it is a completely free service to use.

The Disney Wonder returns to San Diego in early 2022 for more sailings to Baja Mexico. Here is the Ultimate Disney Cruise San Diego 2022 Guide.
The Disney Cruise San Diego 2022 sailings are a little different from previous years. Whilst right now only the early 2022 Disney Cruise itineraries are available, there are some changes for the San Diego cruises.
One of our favorite itineraries, the 7 night Mexica Riviera cruises are only offered once in 2022.
Gradually over the years, the number of 7-night sailings from San Diego has reduced.
It used to be that the majority of the sailings were 7 nights, but for now, we only have a single one-week-long sailing.
For those of us who prefer the 7 night San Diego sailings, you could of course combine back-to-back sailing to give you more nights.
This gives you a longer time on the Disney Wonder but isnt ideal as the per night price tends to be higher if you book shorter cruises.
Another new feature for the Disney Cruise San Diego 2022 is a port stop in Catalina. This tiny Californian island is located just off the coast of Los Angeles and is well worth a visit.

Sailings for Winter/Spring 2022 were announced on October 15, 2020. They went on sale for Platinum Castaway Club members on October 19, 2020, Gold members on October 20, Silver members and DVC members on October 21, and everyone else on October 22.
Sailings for late Spring 2022 forDisney Dream and Disney Fantasy were announced and available to book on December 21, 2020.
Sailings for Summer 2022 were announced on March 18, 2021. They went on sale for Platinum Castaway Club members on March 22, 2021, Gold members on March 23, Silver members and DVC members on March 24, and everyone else on March 25.

Disney Wonder Room 8572
Our stateroom was a Deluxe Family Suite with a Verandah, which is nice because it can sleep all five of us.
There is a queen size bed, that has outlets on both sides. There is tons of storage space under the bed, which is where we kept our luggage during the cruise.
And a sitting area with a couch and a coffee table. There is also a chair that is used for the vanity in the sitting area.
At night, your stateroom host or hostess will fold the couch into a twin sized bed, pull down a bunk bed from the ceiling, and pull down the Murphy bed that is located near the verandah door.
I loved all of the storage space in our room, like this dresser and the upper and lower cabinets. Next to the mirror, you will find more outlets as well as the outlet for the staterooms hairdryer.
Below this cabinet is the stateroom TV where you can watch messages from the cruise director, safety information, activity information, a few tv channels and on demand Disney movies and shows. Below the tv is a small refrigerator.
Out on the verandah you will find two small chairs, a table, and amazing views!
Each stateroom has a split bathroom. One room has a toilet, mirror, sink, and garbage can. The second room has a shower/tub combination, mirror, sink, and garbage can.
There is no need to bring along shampoo, conditioner, or body wash. There are full size bottles of Disneys H20 products available in the shower.

Disney Wonder Gets Longest San Diego Sailing Season Yet In 2022

Hankering to take a magical cruise from the sunny port of San Diego? Your timing couldnt be better. Disney Cruise Line announced that fall 2022 kicks off the longest San Diego sailing season yet for the Disney Wonder.
Through spring 2023, the Disney Wish will set sail on a battery of three-, four-, five-, and seven-day cruises from San Diego to ports of call like Baja and the Mexican Riviera. Cruises run from Oct. 2, 2022April 2, 2023.

Sound up your alley? Early booking is open now for Platinum and Gold Castaway Club Members. Silver Castaway Club Members, Disney Vacation Club Members, and Adventures by Disney Adventure Insiders will be able to early book starting on Feb. 18.
But you dont have long to wait if youre not one of the above. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Feb. 22.

We stayed in San Diego the night before our cruise at our favorite hotel, the Best Western Island Palms on Shelter Island. I always recommend arriving in your port city the day before your cruise. I find it too risky to travel the day of embarkation.
We arrived at the port at about 11:00 am and dropped off our luggage. We were then directed to go across the street to the Wyndham hotel for our pre-cruise test.
We waited in the ballroom for about 25 minutes for our results. After being cleared, we headed back to the cruise terminal.
Going through customs took about 20 minutes, then we were ready to board the ship! Be prepared to give your name as you get on the ship so the crew members can announce your arrival.
After boarding, we headed to our assigned spot on Deck 4 to complete the mandatory safety drill.

Looking closer at this weeks offering, we see special rates for Florida Residents is up 6 to 45 dates, the US Military Personnel up 1 to 91 sailings. The Canadian Resident rate dipped 2 to 7 total sail dates.

Night San Diego Disney Wonder Cruise
There is only one 3 night sailing scheduled so far for 2022. The Disney Wonder will sail on 10/9/22 on a 3-night itinerary from San Diego.

Sails on 4/13/22 and 4/17/22.
Later in the year, the Disney Wonder will sail the 4-night itinerary of 9/28/22
The port of Cabo San Lucas is simply beautiful. The famous arches dominate the view you will have when the Disney Wonder is anchored just a short distance away from the shore.
Again, you use tender boats, but these are really efficient and it doesnt take much time to get from the ship to the hustle and bustle of Cabo San Lucas.
There are many excursions you can choose from in Cabo, or you can simply explore on your own. There are plenty of local bars and restaurants within easy reach. Or take a boat to the very beautiful Lovers Beach.

Sails on 4/21/22
The Disney Wonder sails from San Diego to Vancouver on a repositioning cruise so that she can move to her Canadian Homeport in readiness from the cruises to Alaska.
However, for 2022 the exciting news is that there will be two Disney Cruises to Hawaii.
These are some of the most sought-after of all of the Disney Cruise itineraries.
Historically, there really havent been that many Disney Cruises to Hawaii, and this made it particularly disappointing when they had to be canceled for 2020.
Both of the cruises are one way to Hawaii and back, rather than a round trip. This means you can spend some extra time in Hawaii either before or after the cruise.

Disney Vacation Club Cruises
The Disney Vacation Club member cruises for 2022 will be the 3-night Bahamian cruise on June 14 on the Disney Wish, and the 7-night Alaskan cruise on August 29 on the Disney Wonder. Both cruises are sold out, but a waitlist is available.
DVC member cruises are only open to Disney Vacation Club members who have purchased at least some of their vacation points directly from Disney . Members can use their vacation points to book the cruise or can pay cash rates. Typically DVC cruises are significantly more expensive than similar cruises for the general public, but guests will be given a wide variety of DVC special gifts and will get to experience some exclusive member events including talks by special guests including artists, imagineers and/or actors from classic Disney movies.
Whether the DVC member cruise is worth booking is a personal judgment call. The extra events are difficult or impossible to experience any other way. The various DVC gifts are usually a mix of the usual kinds of tote bags, pens, and so forth you can get by attending a DVC meeting or buying a new DVC contract, plus at least a few special and unique items. Some people love the DVC member cruises and try to go on each one. Others go once and feel its not worth the extra money.
Port Of Ensenada Mexico
From the port to the town of Ensenada was about a 20 minute walk. We had some great views of the Disney Wonder from the port so we stopped to take a few pictures. My 12-year-old chose to stay on the ship and go to the kids club while we went exploring. We bought a couple of snacks, my son bought a hat, and we found a cute little purse for our friend Scout, back at home.

Dinner At Tianas Place
Our Main Dining Room experience for dinner was Tianas Place. Tianas Place is a New Orleans style restaurant themed after the Princess and the Frog and even includes live entertainment!
Here are some of the items we ordered from Tianas Place. Everything we had was delicious, especially the Beignets!

- Mama Odies White Chocolate Bread Pudding
- Lemon Raspberry Mousse Bombe
During dinner at Tianas there is a parade through the restaurant. Its fun to watch, or join in if you want!
Family Silent Dance Party
We were supposed to see Frozen on night 5, but the show was cancelled so we took the boys and went to the Family Dance Party! Like I mentioned in my last video, Silent Dance parties are fun because you wear headphones that play music and everyone dances, but cant hear each others music. Its pretty entertaining.

Dinner At Animators Palate
Our last main dining experience was back where we started at Animators Palate. Here are some items that we ordered from the menu: Sliced Serrano Ham, Black Truffle Pasta Purseittes, Baked Potato and Cheddar Cheese Soup, Chicken and Walnut Salad, Pennete Bolognese, Ginger- Teriyaki dusted Angus Beef Tenderloin, Cookies n Cream Sundae, and Lemon Icebox Pie.
The experience on Day 5 was a little bit different as there were drawings and a show during dinner. We even had a visit from Mickey Mouse himself!
This Lemon Icebox Pie was one of my favorite desserts on our Disney Wonder Cruise. I loved it so much, I came home and recreated the recipe for my family. If you would like to make this pie at home, here is the recipe.
