Dr David Jeremiah Shares Lesson On Forgiveness Using Dramatic Dallas Courtroom Event

At his final tour stop in Columbus, Ohio for his latest book release, Everything You Need, Dr. David Jeremiah drew from powerful recent examples of forgiveness in his message to those in attendance. He shared the heartwarming example from the brother of Botham Jean and from the pastor who lost his wife and several members of his congregation at the church shooting in Charleston, South Carolina in 2015.
At his event in Columbus and at most of his other destinations, Dr. Jeremiah shared the now infamous video footage of the brother of Botham Jean taking the stand in the trial of former police officer Amber Guyger who mistakenly gunned down Jean in his own apartment. In an unprecedented move in the courtroom, Jeans brother Brandt told Guyger he forgives her and even wished she could be spared of her prison sentence. With tears in his eyes, he then proceeded to step down from the witness stand and embrace Guyger as the two wept together. Dr. Jeremiah called it one of the greatest examples of forgiveness Ive ever seen in my life.”
After the stunning courtroom embrace, the judge presiding over the case, Tammy Kemp, spoke with Guyger informally after the trial. Kemp was seen handing Guyger her Bible. I wish that were the end of the story, but its not, Dr. Jeremiah told his audience. He informed them that soon after the Freedom From Religion Foundation filed an ethics complaint against the judge.

We are thing of booking a tour with this company for a tour in Israel. Anyone gone on this? Reviews would be helpful
I haven’t gone in their tours but thoroughly enjoyed looking at who was leading them. 🙂
I just want you to be aware that if you do a tour of Israel with a high profile Bible teacher you could well end on a tour with 30 bus loads of Christians all on the same tour. We saw some of the buses connected with one of those high profile speakers and they were labelled “bus 27”, “bus 28” …. I can’t imagine what it would be like to travel with that size group.
On our first trip we did a tour with Dr. Woodrow Kroll as leader . This had 6 bus loads of people and although we thoroughly enjoyed it and we had the same people on our bus each day, we had no time on a personal level with Woodrow Kroll. I recall one lady in particular being most upset about this.
4 years later we travelled with Woodrow Kroll again. This time there was only one bus load on his tour. As we passed “bus 28” of one of these mega tours. I commented to him about it and asked what was the largest group he had ever taken. He replied 6 busloads and said he would never do that again as the personal aspect was missing.
So just be aware of the size in advance if you decide to go with them. Also, please come back here and give us a report afterwards if you do so that others will know what to expect. 🙂
