Port Or Hotel Elevated Parking Garage For Cruise
Are any of the cruise port parking lots in an elevated parking garage & if so can you make reservations for them? Also what hotels offer free parking for the week in an elevated parking garage if you stay one night pre cruise? How likely are any of the regular, not in an elevated garage, parking lots to flood in the event of a hurricane? Thanks for any information!
If I recall correctly , most of the cruises that leave Galveston depart after Hurricane Season ends . The cruise port is on the north side of the island, less likely to flood than the south side, which is open to the Gulf of Mexico. Im not aware of any elevated garage parking, although someone more familiar with hotel parking on the island than I may know of some. Also, ask yourself how often hurricanes which enter the Gulf of Mexico actually make any kind of hit on Galvestonlately, there are more hitting the Atlantic Coast than the Gulf Coast . Personally, I would sail without worries .

Suggestions For Hotels With Cruise Parking In Galveston
Holiday inn, hilton, and a few others offer a stay, park, and go package at most of the cruise terminals. Some even have the shuttle drop you off at the port. Worth calling and asking if they have a package like that.
We stayed at 2 places. 1 the Scottish inn, not bad free shuttle to dock but not back. 2. The pearl inn which is to be avoided at all cost. Just stay in Houston and pay to park sooo convenient and Houston is a lot cheaper.
I’ve stayed at Scottish Inn twice and recently they’ve changed owners and are now “Days Inn” but the website doesn’t reflect that. You also will not get a shuttle if you pay less than $90 to stay there sadly.

Comfort Suites. Its $10 for your cruise if you stay with them. That includes dropping you off and picking you up.
Ive stayed at the Hilton. They have a nice multi-story parking garage. They have a park and go program for the cruise ship.
But we always use Galveston Park N Cruise. It has covered parking directly across the street from the Carnival terminal. You can walk to your car after clearing customs and immigration. You dont have to mess around with getting a van ride to remote parking or a hotel.
Country Inn And Suites By Radisson
The modern Country Inn and Suites by Radisson is a mid-range hotel with excellent amenities at an affordable price. Guests enjoy free parking, breakfast, lobby coffee and use of the indoor pool and fitness center. Close to Moody Gardens and the beach, it has ocean view rooms.
