The bathroom in this Disney Wish Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom With Verandah is a nice upgrade from comparable cabins on other cruise lines. It has the typical Disney Cruise Line split bathroom setup which is great for families. This includes a bathroom with a vanity, sink, and shower/tub combo and a half bathroom with a vanity, sink, and toilet.

The finishes are very neutral with wood tones, marble, and white tile. There is also adequate counter space and storage, with each vanity consisting of three small shelves off to one side.

The full-sized shower/tub combo features a glass door. There are also a couple additional shelves in the shower for storage.

Not to mention, the bathroom features Disneys signature H2O+ products and a night light.

Closet

The closet in this stateroom has plenty of storage for a family during 3- and 4-day sailings. Two sections of the closet feature a clothes bar with hangers, while the third section features a series of shelves along with the safe. Life jackets and robes can also be found here.

Once again, this cabin has more storage than you typically find in most comparable staterooms on other cruise lines.

Main Cabin Area

The main area of this Disney Wish Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom With Verandah is certainly roomier than competitor cabins. There is also a privacy curtain to separate the sitting area from the bed, which would come in handy if you are traveling with kids.

How Big Is The Disney Wish Cruise Ship

Disney Wish has a tonnage of 144,000 GT, a length of 1,119 feet and a height of 221 feet with 14 passenger decks. The beam is 128 feet and the draft is 27 feet. The ship can accommodate 4,000 guests and 1,555 crew.

Disney Wish is around 10% larger than Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream and 71% larger than Disney Wonder and Disney Magic. She is considered a large cruise ship, but will only rank around 40th in the list of the worlds biggest cruise ships.

Disney Wish will be a similar size to cruise ships like P& O Cruises Britannia, Princess Cruises Enchanted Princess, Royal Caribbeans Mariner of the Seas and MSC Cruises MSC Preziosa. So shell be pretty average when it comes to the size of family cruise ships.

Although the new ship is larger than the Dream-class ships and has more crew members, the same number of guests will be accommodated on board. This gives a higher space-to-guest ratio, as well as a higher crew-to-guest ratio for a more luxurious experience.

Disney Wish is also leaning into Pixar movies, with a new candy store unveiled Feb. 17. Inside Out: Joyful Sweets will have Pixar-inspired desserts including 40 flavors of handmade gelato and ice cream, as well as whipped cream, fruit compotes, candy, macarons, cake pops, cupcakes themed after the five major emotions, truffles, cookies, brownies, chocolate Memory Orbs and other treats. The store will look like the emotion control center inside of Riley’s mind in the movie Inside Out, complete with statues of Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust and Anger, and lighting fixtures that look like memory orbs.

The Star Wars Hyperspace Lounge is an adults-only area. Designed to look like a luxury spaceship, the lounge will serve space-themed drinks . It’ll feature views from the screen “windows” showing Star Wars locales like Tatooine, Batuu and Mustafar, much like on Disney World’s new Star Wars resort, the Galactic Starcruiser.

There’ll also be a food hall called Marceline Market, with 10 food stalls themed after movies including Tangled, Zootopia, Alice in Wonderland and Ratatouille and Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods for quick bites.

Pricing For Disney Wish Sailings Now Available Ahead Of Bookings

Bookings for Disney Cruise Lines newest ship, Disney Wish, will be available to all guests on May 27, 2021. Guests can start planning today though, as pricing for the Disney Wishs first three sailings is now available.

The Disney Wishs maiden voyage is of course significantly more expensive than most sailings. It starts out at $5,550 for one guest in one inside stateroom. An ocean view would be $5,750, while a verandah is $6,150.

As for the sailings available after the maiden voyage, pricing is only slightly more than sailings on the Disney Dream and Fantasy. A 3-night Bahamian cruise starts at $1,658, while a 4-night starts at $1,867. During the peak of summer in June and July, a 3-night cruise starts at $2,858 and a 4-night starts at $3,891. Prices vary depending on the time of year, type of stateroom, and number of guests.

These spacious accommodations sleep 3 to 4 guests with a porthole view of outside, but no verandah. Staterooms have a queen bed and sitting area with convertible sofa. Staterooms that sleep 4 also have an upper berth and a pull down. Approximately 218 square feet. These are moderately priced staterooms but in many cases, a verandah stateroom isnt much more.

PORT CANAVERAL The Disney Wish, the first new ship in the Disney Cruise Line in 10 years, heads out of Port Canaveral for its first trip July 14 a sold-out cruise to the Bahamas. The tricked-out ship will ferry families on three- and four-day excursions on a cruise full of theme park innovations.

Since the Disney Magic debuted in 1998, the cruise lines ships have won numerous awards for best family cruising. With its many kids clubs, free sodas, elevated food and fireworks nights, the Disney cruises charge a premium. They tend to cost two to four times more than mainstream cruise lines like Carnival or Royal Caribbean, according to the consumer travel site Points Guy.

The Wish, at 1.2 million square feet, is the first in Disneys Triton class of cruise ships and the largest by far of any previous Disney ship. It sets sail as the industry works to lure customers back after a 15-month shutdown during the pandemic.

We took a spin through its fifth ship in the fleet as Disney prepares to bring on two more in the next few years for travel-hungry consumers.

Alcohol And Premium Dining

Alcohol is not included in your fare, so if you are planning on taking in some cocktails, budget appropriately for these expenses. Disney’s First Onboard Ride

The AquaMouse attraction will feature a new animated Mickey Mouse short called Scuba Scramble. A 760-foot water ride will take you all around the top deck and includes interactive water elements, audio, video, lighting, show scenes and special effects. Disney says you’ll be on an adventure to a mermaid lagoon.

Also on the top deck are the Toy Story Splash Zone, six pools, and casual dining in the Mickey and Friends district.

In 2022, the Disney Wonder moves around during the year to various home ports. Cruises begin in Galveston, then San Juan, New Orleans, San Diego, Hawaii in April and early May, than from mid-May to Sept 7th the ship will cruise Alaska out of Vancouver. The ship then returns to San Diego and ends the year in Galveston.

When We Stopped At Disney’s Private Island Castaway Cay In The Bahamas My Sister And I Splurged On Some Outdoor Activities

Personally, I would have loved to lounge on the adults-only beach all day. The water was warm, the sun was strong, and stingrays swam around your feet.
