Oversized vehicles may use the Poydras Street Parking lot which is adjacent to the Julia Street Cruise Terminal No. 2. Use the same directions as to Erato/Julia terminals. Go directly to the drop off areas for either the Erato or Julia terminal. After offloading all luggage and passengers, the driver should proceed past the Erato and Julia terminals and turn right into the Poydras Street Parking Lot. There will be a shuttle available to bring you back to Erato Street . Parking for oversized vehicles is at a per day rate. Please call ahead for space at 525-5476. The lot is secure, lighted and patrolled.

Parking costs $14 per day. If you will be staying in a hotelthat doesnt provide parking, New Orleans Cruise Ship Parking will charge you$30 the night you stay at the hotel, and then $14 each night after that. Andtheyll gladly shuttle you between the hotel, parking lot, and cruise port.

Erato Street Cruise Terminal
Located at 1100 Port of New Orleans Place, New Orleans, LA70130, Erato Street Cruise Terminal is the first one youll see when arrivingat the port. If this is your terminal, there is no need to go any further.
The parking garage is located on top of the terminal, and there is an access ramp to get there just beyond the terminal drop-off area. Parking is $20 per day from August 1st through March 31st and $22 from April 1st through July 31st.
Inside the terminal you will find check-in kiosks, a spacious waiting area, baggage area, an elevated loading ramp, customs, and a souvenir shop.

Getting Around New Orleans
Unless youre planning to head outside the city to visit plantations or things like that you could get away without renting a car for a stay in New Orleans. The city is flat, with lots of great architecture, that makes walking and biking enjoyable just do be prepared for the heat if visiting from late spring to early autumn.

Because there are many one-way streets, follow these directions to the port entrance:
- From I-10 East or West, exit at US 90 W .
- Exit US 90 W at Tchoupitoulas . This will be the last exit before crossing the Mississippi River on the Crescent City Connection Bridge.
- Follow down ramp to ground level and turn right at the second stoplight onto Tchoupitoulas Street.
- Turn left at the next stoplight onto Henderson Street and proceed for two blocks.
- Turn left onto Port of New Orleans Place after crossing the railroad tracks
- The Erato Street Cruise Terminal is located just past the bridge pier and the Julia Street Cruise Terminal is located just beyond Erato.
- Do not try to access cruise terminals from the entrances to Port of New Orleans Place at Julia Street or Poydras Street.

The cruise industry made its return to New Orleans Sunday, as Carnival Glory set sail for a seven-day trip to the Bahamas. It marks the first sailing from the city since cruise operations were paused 18 months ago.
Carnival’s team celebrated the occasion by welcoming its passengers with a “Back to Fun” event. Martin Guidry and Elizabeth LeGrange, of Lafayette, were among the first set of guests onboard the ship. The couple was honored with cutting the ribbon during the fanfare.
All guests of Carnival Cruise Line must follow safety protocols recommended by the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention, including proof of vaccination for COVID-19, as well as a negative COVID-19 test taken within two days prior to the sailing date.
Carnival leaders praised the return to Port of New Orleans and mentioned that it will provide support to New Orleans’ economy.
