When I called for a reservation for a single room I was offered an upgrade room to a double. When I called back to confirm my room reservation I realized the price difference and asked to be placed in a s8ngle. I was told it was non refundable. I was charged for a double and given a single.

Residence Inn By Marriott Cape Canaveral Cocoa Beach
The 150 room Residence Inn by Marriott Cape Canaveral is located a 3-minute drive to the cruise port. The address is 8959 Astronaut Blvd, Cape Canaveral, FL 32920.
The rooms available are either Studios or Suites. All rooms are spacious and all of the Suites have a full-service kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, stove, and dishwasher.
These rooms are a very good size with the Standard One Bedroom Suite offering 500 square feet of space.
There are some two-bedroom suites available which are a very spacious 750 square feet.
A hot American breakfast is included in the rate of your stay at the Residence Inn Cape Canaveral.
There is an outdoor pool and a small fitness room at the hotel. There is a shuttle to the cruise port which is available for a fee.
There is no restaurant in the hotel. However, there are dining options close by. Kelseys Pizzeria and Thai Thai III Restaurant & Sushi Bar are just 0.3 miles away. The excellent Grills Seafood Deck & Tiki Bar on the waterfront is 0.7 miles away.

The ports 7-story Exploration Tower provides over 550,000 sq.ft. of exhibition space, a 72-seat auditorium, café, gift shops, and superb views from two observation decks one enclosed and one outside.
Visitors wanting to view cruise ships arriving and departing can visit Jetty Park. Owned by the port, it is a popular attraction in the area with a fishing pier, fishing charters, beach and picnic area.

Port Canaveral Cruise Shuttle Service
Country Inn & Suites offers a cruise shuttle service to and from the various terminals at Port Canaveral. There are two options, including one that includes parking for those with a personal vehicle. Please keep in mind, this is subject to change and could be based on availability.
- Park & Cruise package includes parking for up to 8 days and complimentary shuttle for everyone registered in the room. This package $65.00 +tax.
- Shuttle Service Only shuttles to and from the port. Shuttle cost is $7 per person.
All Shuttles to the port can be schedule at the earliest 7-days prior to your cruise departure by calling the front desk at 321-784-8500. You will be asked to provide the name of the full name of the ship, port arrival time defined by the cruise line noted on their arrival documents, the number of adults and children in the party, and if they will be needing a return shuttle to the hotel.
Please note, we did not experience the shuttle service. I am simply relaying information provided to me about the service. As a result, the shuttle service should not be considered as part of our overall review of the property other than it is a service that is offered.

Cruisetime Parking at Port Canaveral charges $8 per day for pre-booked parking and the shuttle for up to 4 cruisers is free. Extra passengers are charged a one-time fee of $5. The price rises steeply to $18 per day for same-day reservations. The secure parking lot is on Merritt Island and the journey time is around 15 minutes to the port. This hotel offers a cruise parking package with shuttle. Also, free internet, breakfast, coffee and cookies every afternoon.Residence Inn, Cape Canaveral. Included in their Cruise and Stay package is free breakfast and parking, shuttle to/from ship for a small fee. Full kitchen. Plus complimentary light dinner, beer, wine and soft drinks on Mon-Wed evenings.
There are plenty of family-friendly activities near the port, including the Kennedy Space Center. With miles of wide beaches, public parks and nearby restaurants and shopping, you might want to consider spending at least a couple of days before or after your cruise. Disney World and Universal Studios Orlando are just an hour away, too.

Cruise Terminal Parking At Port Canaveral
The most convenient cruise parking at Port Canaveral is onsite at the official cruise parking lotsnext to each terminal. It is just a short walk to the cruise ship so theres no need to arrange shuttle transport or taxis to and from the cruise ship.
However, you will pay a higher parking fee for the convenience. Payment is made onsite by credit card cash is not accepted.
Port Canaveral cruise terminal parking includes a point where drivers can drop off their baggage and/or passengers. From there, porters will assist with heavy baggage. Drivers will then be directed to a parking facility nearby.
On your return after your cruise, you can walk to the onsite parking lot with your baggage, or the driver can retrieve the vehicle and pick up passengers and luggage from the terminal entrance.
The new modern Port Canaveral cruise parking facilities can accommodate larger vehicles and RVs. Onsite Port Canaveral cruise parking lots are secure and patrolled 24/7.

The San Juan hotel below can be added to your Disney Cruise Line reservation. If you have booked through a travel agent, contact your agent to add a pre-cruise and/or post-cruise stay. If you have booked directly with Disney Cruise Line, call them.
Pre/post-cruise stays can be added up until 31 days prior to check-in date . If you stay both before and after the cruise, both portions must be booked at the same hotel. Pre/post-cruise stays that are added to a cruise reservation must be purchased for ALL guests in the same stateroom.

Or, if you prefer, take advantage of their luggage retrieval service for a small flat fee , Hyatt staff will retrieve your luggage from baggage claim and deliver it to your room.
If you stay at the airport Hyatt instead of going all the way out to Walt Disney World, you are much closer to Port Canaveral. That means you can sleep in a little longer before heading off to the ship in the morning. You can choose from multiple dining options within the airport, or take a swim at the hotel. Its great way to start relaxing right away.
