Utopia Of The Seas 2024
Following on from the success of Oasis-class ships such as Oasis of the Seas which was launched in 2009 right up to Wonder of the Seas in 2022, Royal Caribbean will launch a sixth and final Oasis-class ship in 2024.
At the steel-cutting ceremony on 5th April 2022, Royal Caribbean announced that their next ship will be named Utopia of the Seas.
The agreement to build a sixth Oasis-class ship was signed on 18th February 2019. Originally, the ship was scheduled to be delivered in late 2023, but the date has been put back around 12 months due to the effects of the global pause.
Launching in May 2024, Utopia of the Seas is set to be almost identical to Royal Caribbeans latest ship, Wonder of the Seas. However, its expected that this LNG-powered ship will be slightly larger, making her the biggest ship in the world as of 2024.
Just like her Oasis-class sister ships, Utopia of the Seas will be built by the French shipbuilding company Chantiers de lAtlantique in Saint-Nazaire, France.

What Are The Main Differences Between Viking Ships
There are a few small differences between Viking Ocean ships that you wont find on the deck plans.
The artwork and decor will be slightly different from ship to ship.
Only certain Viking ships have a planetarium onboard, called the Explorers Dome. This is only featured on:
The planetarium is located on the upper level of the Explorers Lounge on Deck 8 and offers passengers the chance to watch panoramic films of space and Earth in 2D and 3D.
The first few Viking ocean ships also have outdoor gym equipment on on the Sports Deck .
The advantage to Viking ships being identical is that once youve cruised on one ship, you dont need to learn a new layout and get your bearings on your next cruise. This leaves more time to enjoy yourself and focus on the destinations on the itinerary.

If theres one thing Disney Cruise Line does well, its hospitality. The ships are designed for families through and throughthere are numerous themed activities every day, from meet-and-greets to full-blown parties with Disney charactersbut there are plenty of adults-only areas that provide a respite from little ones. That said, the ships are not over-the-top when it comes to Disney decor. In fact, theyre quite elegant, taking design inspiration from early-20th-century ocean liners and sporting Art Deco and Art Nouveau aesthetics. The four ships currently sail the Caribbean , Alaska, Europe, the Pacific Coast, and the Panama Canal. Three more ships, including Disney Wish, are scheduled to be added to the fleet between 2022 and 2025.
