Allure Of The Seas Test Cruise Will Carry Employees Volunteer Passengers
PORT CANAVERAL, Fla. Royal Caribbean is preparing to sail again from Port Canaveral with employees and volunteer passengers.
Royal Caribbean owns the ship that was the first to return to cruising this summer from an American port.
Now on Tuesday, the cruise line resumes departures from Port Canaveral with a simulated cruise of the Allure of the Seas.
It seems like yesterday that people were asking me if I thought cruising would restart by December,’ CEO Richard Fain said in a Royal Caribbean video earlier this month.
Fain said his cruise line has nearly two-dozen ships back to work in Europe, Asia and now the U.S., too.
For our crew members, it was a literal lifeline after so many months without work, Fain said. For the communities we serve, it represents tourism and jobs after so many months of pain and for our guests, it was a sense of freedom, of escape from the isolation of this terrible period of shutdown, the CEO added.
Last week, Disney completed Port Canaverals first test cruise.

Port Canaveral Parking Information
You can park directly at Port Canaveral at the parking garage that is adjacent to the cruise terminal.
Parking is $17.00 per day , including day of arrival and day of departure.
When you drive to the terminal, you can either park first or drop off luggage first. In either case, there is a multi-level parking garage where you can easily access to park your vehicle.
You will pay for parking upon entry into the garage, which means when your cruise is over and you drive home, there are no lines.
No cash is accepted for parking, so you will need a credit card to park .
In addition to the parking garage, there are a few smaller surface lots near the parking garage. These are often used as overflow from the garage.

Since 2021, Royal Caribbean enforces check-in times for what time you can check-in for your cruise.
Up to 45 days before your cruise is set to begin, you can complete the online check-in process via Royal Caribbean’s app.
It’s important to adhere to the check-in time so you can avoid overcrowding, as well as be admitted right away into the terminal.
If you arrive early, there are a few restaurants and bars within walking distance to the left of the cruise terminal. Porters are available to take your luggage, and then you can hang out at either Fishlips or Grills while you wait.

Royal Caribbean Unveils 2023 Seasonal Caribbean Cruises
Royal Caribbean has announced their 2023 seasonal Caribbean cruises that include five, seven, and eight night sailings from Miami, Galveston, Port Canaveral.
Allure of the Seas will sail from Galveston, Texas and Royal Caribbeans new $125 million cruise terminal. The 161,300 square foot terminal will allow an Oasis class ship to be based out of Texas for the first time.
Allure of the Seas will sail seven night cruises from Galveston to the Western Caribbean with port stops in Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Roatan.
Wonder of the Seas will be the worlds largest cruise ship when the vessel debuts next spring. The cruise ship will sail from Port Canaveral from November 2022 through at least the summer of 2023.
Wonder of the Seas will sail week long cruises to the Eastern and Western Caribbean and visit different ports including CocoCay, St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Cozumel, and other popular ports.

PORT CANAVERAL, Fla. â Royal Caribbean set sail on its first simulated Port Canaveral cruise Tuesday, nearly a year and a half after the industry shut down because of the pandemic.

The Allure of the Seas is heading out on a test voyage to see if the company is ready to restart cruise operations.
The volunteer passengers are a blend of travel agents, Royal Caribbean Crown and Anchor Society members and cruise line workers, people like travel agent Lorie Emmons from Indiana, who sells cruise packages.
“I can give them the best advice if I’ve experienced it myself,” Emmons said. “We’re going to explore the ship, but I definitely want to get that experience for the guests, so I can take that back to them.”
The two-night cruise sets sail for Coco Cay.
