Book Early + Reprice Often
This is probably the easiest way that youll save money on your Royal Caribbean cruise. When new itineraries are released, the cheapest cabins will get booked first.
Consider booking a stateroom that best fits your budget as early as you can. This locks in a price and ensures you won’t be spending money on a more expensive cabin. Of course, some people want to splurge on a balcony or suite experience. Others prefer to book the cheapest cabin possible to save money. Either way, you’ll benefit from booking early and repricing often to ensure you have the lowest price.
With Royal Caribbeans Best Price Guarantee Program, you can reprice your cruise as many times as you want. If you see a price thats lower than you paid for the same sailing and cabin, just call Royal Caribbean and they will refund you the difference. You can take advantage of this program up to final payment date.
Ive saved up to $1,500 by taking a little time to reprice my stateroom on Royal Caribbeans website here and there. When I see the price has dropped, I simply call the cruise line and ask for a reprice most of the time, this is a quick and painless process.
Just recently, I upgraded our stateroom on an upcoming reservation from an inside cabin to a balcony guarantee and saved $500! In my opinion, checking the current promotion and pricing for your upcoming cruise is the quickest way you can save a lot of money.
What Are Repositioning Cruises
Repositioning cruises take place when cruise ships relocate from one region to another. They usually take place during spring and autumn when ships move between their winter and summer bases. Rather than sailing without passengers, cruise lines offer savvy travellers the opportunity to snag a great deal on a one-way cruise. This type of cruise typically offers more sea days and is often combined with themed activities and entertainment to make your time at sea even more entertaining and enjoyable.

Visiting Glaciers On An Alaska Cruise
Outside of port stops where passengers disembark the ship, Alaska cruises offer scenic cruising days to glaciers along the Inside Passage. Passengers do not disembark the ship on these days. Instead, the ship slowly sails within a view of a glacier, often completing a 360 degree turn to ensure all guests onboard can have an excellent view of such amazing scenery.
Theres also the opportunity to spot harbor seals, wolves, brown bears, and other wildlife that call these areas home.
Tracy Arm Fjord is another glacier visited on scenic cruising days. The deep, narrow passage of the Tracy Arm Fjord travels over 30 miles alongside the Tongass National Forest, with the twin Sawyer Glaciers at the end of the passage.
Endicott Arm & Dawes Glacier will surely impress cruise passengers, featuring a scenic sail through the Endicott Arm Fjord followed by a panoramic view of Dawes Glacier, a 600 foot tall, half-mile wide active icecap.
Hubbard Glacier is a glacier commonly visited on an Alaska cruise. Located in Disenchantment Bay, Hubbard Glacier is an astonishing sight. The glaciers ice is 400 feet tall, 76 miles long, and 1,200 feet deep.
Royal Caribbean President Expects Cruise Prices To Rise
When the cruise industry returned to the U.S. after it was shut down from March 2020 to July 2021, the comeback was tentative.
Capacities were limited and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention put in place all sort of rules to enable Royal Caribbean , Carnival Cruise Line , Norwegian Cruise Line , and others to get back to sea.
Despite the low capacity, prices were generally lower than normal because the strict rules and vaccination requirements limited the potential audience.
Some potential passengers weren’t vaccinated, others thought that having to wear a mask in some places made their vacation less fun, and others didn’t like having to test before boarding. Those factors — as well as older customers simply broadly avoiding travel due to covid — largely kept cruise prices below historical norms since the return.
There were exceptions as new ships including Royal Caribbean’s Wonder of the Seas and Carnival’s Mardi Gras have commanded premium pricing, but overall cruise fares have remained depressed.
Now, with capacity back to normal and the industry having dropped nearly all covid-related rules, the challenge is building back to normal pricing, That’s something Royal Caribbean President Michael Bayley expects to happen, but it won’t necessarily happen quickly or easily.
