Seven Seas Splendor Commences Inaugural Season From Southampton England
MIAMI, Sept. 16, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Regent Seven Seas Cruises® began its first voyage in just under 18 months on September 11, 2021, with new ship Seven Seas Splendor® cruising from Southampton, England. Sailing with the cruise line’s enhanced SailSAFE Health and Safety Program – which includes 100% vaccination of both guests and crew – the voyage is believed to be the first to carry international travelers on a UK cruise since the voluntary industry-wide pause in operations began in March 2020.
The cruise line has marked the occasion by creating a return to sailing video, featuring many of the beloved Seven Seas Splendor crew.

The next ship in The World’s Most Luxurious Fleet to resume sailing will be Seven Seas Explorer® on October 15, 2021, from Trieste, Italy. Seven Seas Mariner®will resume sailing December 18, 2021, from Miami, Florida, as will Seven Seas Navigator® on January 6, 2022. Finally, Seven Seas Voyager® will return on February 15, 2022 from Barcelona, Spain.
Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ Second Ultra
Regent Seven Seas Cruises second ship re-entered service on Friday following a prolonged COVID-19 voluntary industry-wide cruise pause. Seven Seas Explorer departed Trieste, Italy on its previously scheduled voyage through Italy, Croatia and Greece.

Seven Seas Explorer Dress Code
During the day, passengers wear comfortable clothing appropriate to the sailing climate. Poolside, bathing suits and cover-ups are common, though swimwear is not allowed indoors. Women wear shorts and T-shirts or blouses, capris, jeans, dresses or skirts indoors, while men go with jeans or shorts and T-shirts or polo shirts.
At night, elegant casual is the name of the game. That means skirts or slacks with blouses or sweaters, pant suits or dresses for ladies slacks and collared shirts for men. Jackets are optional, but they’re fairly common. Jeans, T-shirts, baseball caps, shorts and sneakers aren’t appropriate in any public space after 6 p.m. Cruises of 16 nights or more will include two optional formal nights, where women might wear evening or cocktail gowns or formal pants suits men might wear tuxes or suits. Elegant casual dress still is appropriate even on formal nights. Cruises of 15 nights or less don’t feature formal nights.
The final night of the cruise allows passengers to dress more casually, but most stick with elegant casual.
The cruise also includes use of the ship’s thermal suite, regardless of whether you have booked a spa treatment. A concierge staff is also available to anyone, 24 hours a day.
Depending on cabin category booked, items such as flight upgrades, hotel stays and transfers to the port might be included.
The onboard currency is the U.S. dollar.

The 2016-built Seven Seas Explorer cruise ship is one of the newest RSSC-Regent boats, with sisterships Seven Seas Splendor and Seven Seas Grandeur . The vessel’s building cost ranks it the most expensive luxury cruise ship ever built.
The vessel is currently France-flagged and registered in Majuro/.
The Many Dining Options
During our time on board we experienced each of the restaurants for dinner. Service was outstanding and as I am gluten free, I always check with the maître d to confirm what is available. I had no problem as a menu for the dining room I was eating in every night was placed in my suite the night before and I could choose what I would like. The Explorer has 3 specialty restaurants: Chartreuse , Prime 7 , and Pacific Rim . These restaurants require reservations but they are included in the cost of your cruise.
The Compass Rose is the main dining room on board and guests can choose from the specialty items listed on the menu or the always available. Whichever you choose, the food in all of the restaurants is delicious and beautifully presented,
La Veranda was a favourite for breakfast. Omelettes made to order, with fresh fruit and coffee was usually my choice. What Canadian can resist having breakfast on this outdoor terrace knowing how cold it is back home.
The Pool Grill was not just a place to grab a quick lunch. The menu always had a feature of the day which was sometimes a grilled fish specialty. This was a popular spot during our day at sea

Regent Seven Seas Cruises Resumes Operations After 18 Months

Regent Seven Seas Cruises began its first voyage in almost 18 months on September 11, 2021 with fully vaccinated crew and guests.
The first sailing began onboard the new Seven Seas Splendor, which sailed from Southampton, England to Edinburgh, Belfast, Liverpool and more. To mark the occasion, the luxury cruise line has created a return to sailing video, which features the ships crew members as they welcome guests back to sea.
The Seven Seas Splendors second itinerary will be a 14-night trip to Barcelona, Bordeaux, Lisbon and more. It will spend October and November in the Mediterranean before heading to the Caribbean for its winter season.
The next ship to set sail this year is the Seven Seas Explorer, sailing from Trieste, Italy on October 15, 2021.
The Seven Seas Mariner will resume sailing out of Miami on December 18, with the Seven Seas Navigator joining it on January 6, 2022.
The Seven Seas Voyager is the last ship to return to sailing, porting out of Barcelona beginning February 15, 2022.
Regent Seven Seas Cruises has established the SailSAFE Health and Safety program, which includes mandatory vaccinations for all guests and crew members, COVID-19 testing, a staggered embarkation process to allow for physical distancing and other measures.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises Launches First Us Voyage
Regent Seven Seas Cruises has celebrated its return to cruising in the U.S. and Caribbean with the Seven Seas Explorers call to Miami, Florida.
Guests embarked the ship on November 15, 2021, in Miami for an eight-night journey through Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, Honduras and Costa Rica, ending in Colon, Panama.
Having spent a month showing Regent guests the highlights of the Mediterranean, Seven Seas Explorer, helmed by Captain Rosario Vasta, will now explore the Caribbean until March 2022 when she returns to Europe.

Our return to Miami is another huge step forward as we re-introduce our fleet to the seas and offer our guests the unrivaled Regent experience once more.

The Regent Explorer ship is RSSC’s 4th vessel that joined in 2016 the fleetmates , Navigator and Voyager as the company’s largest and most innovative. By building cost the vessel is currently world’s most expensive luxury passenger ship ever built. The ship’s interior features Carrara marble, huge quantities of gold , Czech crystal chandeliers, hundreds of unique and very expensive artworks.
Fun fact is, that ship’s largest suite is the biggest sized cruise accommodation at sea /equaling a townhouse’s size). This suite is also the most expensive cruise room ever offered. Regent Suite’s bed alone cost around USD 90,000. Per-person prices are over GBP 3000, and these rates are per night. Among the suite’s amenities are a custom-built Steinway grand piano and an in-suite spa room with unlimited complimentary spa treatments.
On September 2, 2014, NCL-Norwegian purchased “Prestige Cruise Holdings” for USD 3,025 billion, thus becoming the official shipowner in both fleets.
In mid-April 2016, RSSC announced upgraded fares adding free international flights to all 2017-2018 cruise Itineraries. These are round-trip air travel deals added to the company’s signature all-inclusive package – wines, spirits, soda, water, unlimited internet, free shore excursions, prepaid gratuities, pre-post cruise hotel stays and transfers. The air-inclusive cruise deals involve international flights leaving from 26 cities , regardless of the suite category booked.
